Emily Nancy Guthrie is a folk/pop singer-songwriter from Edmonton, Alberta. Active in the Edmonton music scene since 2008, Guthrie has performed many times around Edmonton and Alberta, most notably at the Calgary, Canmore, and Edmonton Folk Festivals. Guthrie is also a graduate of Edmonton's MacEwan University and has a Bachelor of Music Degree in Vocal Performance. In October of 2015, a backing band, The Wildflowers, was formed with fellow MacEwan Music alumni for the Emily Nancy Guthrie project. From January 18-31, 2016, Guthrie was a participant in the Winter Music Residency at the prestigious Banff Centre, and spent her time there working on an upcoming EP to be released with The Wildflowers in late 2016.”
